Delicious! The shrimp po boy was great! The sausages and the pulled pork were really good too. I love the gris gris side. It has so much flavor. The corn pudding is also a must. The gumbo and the chicken were ok. Not too memorable. The best thing I ate there were the beignets. They're crack! Get them! It's the perfect texture with all that powder sugar. Oh man, I would go there just to get the beignets. They stamped my receipt which states that you can come back on a weekend and get a free pulled pork sandwich. It expires in 30 days. I would definitely take advantage of that so i can also try the sweet potato soufflé. Get the beignet!!

The food is pretty good for Louisiana cuisine outside of Louisiana. The staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting. For a little taste of Cajun country I would highly recommend this establishment.

I saw so many mixed reviews I needed to try this place out. It is very clean inside and the decor is nice. The menu is not overwhelming or confusing as I read someone say. I ordered the brisket which clearly said was $2 extra on the menu so either Jason G didn't see it or they added it because it indeed was confusing to many others. The brisket flavor was amazing. I, like others, think it could have been a bit more moist. I had the mac and cheese (good but not up to par with the very good taste of everything else) and the sweet potato souffle made with crack I beleive, and the cornbread. Yes, it was a big meal. I looked at the amount of brisket I got and was thinking to myself, "thats it" but lets face it, technically we should be eating 4oz of meat and after drinking a soda and eating cornbread, mac and cheese, and souffle, I think the 4oz of brisket is just fine. The cornbread was very good and it wasnt dry. The sweet potato souffle was super good. I never had souffle and maybe the crunchy sweet chunks in it was how souffle is. Or, they laced it with crack. Either way, I am now either addicted to souffle or crack. I will be back for tastes of a couple other things that caught my eye.

Hard to believe this is a chain. When we saw the bbq stuffed tater we just had to try it. Brisket, giant potatoe, cheddar, sour cream and butter with MOJO sauce added on top was delicious. Brisket was tender and lean with a nice flavor. We also tried the side baked beans, sweet spicy pickles, corn bread and corn pudding. All good but we wouldn't order the corn pudding again just not our style. Staff was extremely friendly and you feel like your in New Orleans with the decor and music. We will be back again. Just a note the sauces are vinegar based.

Incredible Menu!! My husband always said he missed eating Po-Boys shrimp sandwiches and he finally tracked down a place near home to try out. Now mind you, we never ate here before and didn't know if it was worth our time. I'm so happy we tried it out! The staff greets you when you walk in the front door . The entire restaurant is immaculately clean! Very friendly folks who were genuinely happy we were there! Our meal was brought to our table fast and hot, the beans and rice are pure heaven! The corn pudding taste scrumptious ! And the po-boy shrimp sandwich (the first one I've ever ate) was outstanding! I asked my husband if this is the same as New Orleans -- he smiled and said "it's better!" We are now their biggest fans! We will patron this restaurant as long as they have open doors!!

I don't want to love Voodoo. How is chain BBQ some of my fave down here? Because this place is delicious, and I cannot lie. First, the location is a bit strange and it's never busy. I don't know why. Their service is great. Everyone is very nice. You order at the counter and they always bring our food out to us. The place is cute and clean, and there is a bit of outdoor seating. Their brisket is my favorite around. It's tender, never chewy, and flavorful with or without the sauce. I quite enjoy the BBQ stuffed potato with the brisket. Good baked potato plus good meat makes for an awesome meal when you are hungry. We came here the day that we (my husband and I alone) moved ourselves into our home to help us power through the rest of the day. It's a decent amount of food for a good price, and I never leave hungry. Brisket and pulled pork are my favorite BBQ meats and I enjoy both here. The pork is well cooked, never fatty, and has a nice light smoke flavor without sauce. They serve 3 sauces - a vinegar based one, the Mojo which is a sweet sauce, and a spicy sauce. I really love the mojo and kind of ignore the other too - the mojo is a sweet, slightly spiced barbecue sauce that is good on the brisket and pork. All of their sides are yummy. From the delicious corn pudding to the savory-sweet seasoned fries, I haven't had a side I don't like here. Even the potato salad, which I normally hate, here I love. It's made with sour cream, not mayo, which is so much better. I suggest trying that or corn pudding your first time as I think those are the stand out sides here. Overall, this place has great meat, good sides, and a variety that everyone will enjoy.

We ordered takeout and took it home on a Saturday night. The place was empty but we weren't surprised, as this is what other reviews had mentioned. The one young girl helping us was very friendly and we received our food quickly. I thought the baby back ribs, although not the tastiest, were extremely tender, meaty, and fell off the bone, which was all things I was looking for in ribs. The brisket was tender and tasty. The sausage was spicy, so if you like spicy, it's for you. The fries and corn pudding I would definitely order again; however the Mac N cheese was creamy, but fairly tasteless. All in all, I would not rush back here, but it's good(not excellent) BBQ in west Boca.

Incredible service!! The young man at the counter was extremely friendly and when we told him it was our first time he explained the menu and made suggestions. When our food arrived it was with a smile and an explanation of the 3 different types of BBQ sauce. The manager came bY our table to check on our food which was super yummy! Almost as good as the BBQ I got in New Orleans. Highly recommend the sweet potato soufflé....you won't need dessert it's so sweet and sumptuous! Just as we were finishing our meal the manager came by again...this time with samples of 2 different desserts! Beignets and bread pudding....somehow we made enough room to try these small pieces of dessert heaven! In some ways I'm glad we don't have a Voodoo BBQ near our house (we are visiting Ft Lauderdale) because I'd never eat anywhere else and be as big as a house from the delicious food!!

This crew is always on point! Always friendly and food is so yummy! Best service in the central Boca area! The manager is always sharing a smile and recognizes his repeat guests.

This is a New Orleans-style BBQ fusion with with Caribbean, Cajun, and Creole spices that is popular for the lunch crowd. I liked the decoration and theme of the restaurant, but was disappointed NOT to hear some authentic New Orleans music being played or anything interesting on the televisions other than ESPN as that would add to the ambiance. I had the Graveyard Meat Platter with beef brisket and pulled pork and of course, I had to order the beignets. Overall I much preferred the beef brisket, but it was a rather small sampling. The pulled pork was decent, but not as good as other BBQ places in town. The beignets were decent, but not like Cafe Du Monde.

The place was empty at 2pm which generally tells you something when it comes to busy dinning Boca. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant and quite eager to help. The food was spicy and very generic. I feel like I could've bought a frozen dinner that tasted the same. It wasn't bad but nothing I would go out of my way to eat again.

We have been regular customers for the past 1 year, me and my son love their Mac n Cheese and shrimp Po boy . Sweet corn pudding is greasy but tastes good. Chicken sandwiches not so good. Staff is very friendly.

I love NOLA, so when I heard there was a new NOLA inspired BBQ place I had to try it. So, yesterday we went for a quick lunch. They definitely had the feel w/ NOLA pictures on the wall and some wonderful Jazz music playing which I thoroughly enjoyed. They also have outside seating if you enjoy looking at a strip mall parking lot. Additionally, this place was filled with MEN, there must've been 30+ of them here, I think we were the only table of females in the place. I will say one can be in and out of this place in 30 mins from start to finish; which, is wonderful for a quick lunch. Lastly, I would like to mention that I thought it was overpriced for what it was. The menu is very confusing so you might want to brush up on it before you go, I had the deer stuck in the headlights look when attempting to order, my friend mentioned the same thing. You walk in order, get a number, get your drink, grab your sauces, and sit your butt down as they deliver the food to your table. I ordered pulled chicken w/ BBQ sauce on a whole wheat bun add their pickles (very tasty little dockets of joy) and baked beans (with a drink was $10.05), my friend ordered the pulled pork, drink and 2 sides (think it was like $15). It came out very quickly and was rather unassuming for the size of the platter they give you i.e.-it looked rather meager. The chicken was dry for me and it was mostly dark meat (not my favorite), there also wasn't enough lettuce and tomato on it for my likings. I was sampling their different BBQ sauces on every bite to see which one I liked the best, my winner was the MOJO. The first words out of my friends mouth when she got her's was "that's it?". Her fries came out a 2 mins after her meal as they were still cooking, but she said her's was pretty good--just not a lot of value for your dollar. I'm on the fence of going back, to be honest, if I have a hankering for BBQ I think I would venture somewhere else as I was underwhelmed.

I have to drop it a star because opening month 'cue has slipped into careless cue. I order a sandwich with pulled meats and chunks of cubed chicken breast keep falling off my bun. The potato salad with sour cream instead of mayo was great at opening but is now drowning. Coleslaw has little flavor. The good news that earns them more stars: They make great Cajun food. Red beans and rice. The shrimp po boys only lack the cloud bread of Leidenheimer, the New Orleans bakery that stocks most of the top practitioners of the po boy arts, but the bread is still good enough for a come-to-Johnnies moment. Service is excellent and you truly "get" they want you to have a wonderful experience. The dining room is more fast foody but the air is full of New Orleans music and the walls are adorned in a way that makes you feel a little more at ease with their mock Big Easy. As for the price griper, A) Your in Boca, and B) voodoo is no more pricey than other area eateries where the money drips like few from the honeysuckle adorned fences around that strip mall. Laissez les bon temps rouler, y'all...

As the event planner for my department lunches, we had decided on BBQ to honor our service members and pay homage to those lost, this Memorial Day. After speaking to a co-worker who lives around the corner from this location, I decided to give a call for pricing. I spoke to Brian, confirmed that boxed lunches were available and went about getting the order together. Once I had everyone's order, I called back, spoke again to Brian and found him to be helpful and accommodating. While we weren't able to get delivery due to the distance between the location and our business, I was able to get the last minute add on orders by calling from the car. I arrived to 25 boxed and bagged lunches that included name tags stapled to them for easy distribution on a rolling 3 tier cart. One of the counter girls assisted with bringing them out to the car. When I arrived back at the office, it was a little challenging getting them all inside, because they weren't in a box. However, 3 co-workers came out and between the 4 of us, had them all inside in one trip. Honestly, it was good exercise and they were thankful to have a reason to step outside in the fresh air! :) The food itself was delicious, and definitely a welcome change to Publix deli fare management was looking to serve. Outside of a couple big eaters that wanted more, everyone was happy. I myself have to say that I was a little disappointed in the mac & cheese, as I was hoping for the "homemade" crumbly version but lunch itself was a success! The value was fair as it included 2 meat choices, 2 sides, a white bun, a brownie and was boxed in a way that that the sides were separated in separate containers from the meat, and both the bun and the brownie were wrapped in plastic wrap. The cost was $11.65 per person including tax. An informational flyer was placed in the bags that states that kids eat free on Sunday (1 child), so I'll be bringing my family as well!

Awesome food and awesome service!!! This was our first visit and Louise took care of us!! I had the pulled pork and my daughter had the chicken tenders. Super yummy! Oh, kids eat free on Sunday's! Great family place.

I don't eat much fast food but had a hankering for a Wendy's burger. I drove by voo doo and saw $4.99 lunch and decided to stop. The only thing for $4.99 is a burger with no drink or side, so $4.99 lunch is not true. I ordered it anyway. Fries are Cajun style (spicy and salty) which isn't my thing, but they give you a lot. The burger was compatible to a Wendy's single in size and quality. All for $9. Next time I'm going to Wendy's.

Amazing! I love the sliced brisket, it's absolutely delicious. However, it can be expensive, so for those looking to save money, have a burger, or those amazing chicken tenders. I love Voodoo BBQ, I eat there all the time, they bring the food to your table and they're very friendly.

I felt like the food was overpriced for what it is and wasn't very good. The chairs are very uncomfortable as well. I was disappointed. The manager did give me my money back the burger my son didn't eat.

Small portions and dry brisket will probably keep me from returning considering I can just as easily go up Congress Ave and hit up Park Avenue for a much more consistent and enjoyable dining experience. Mac and Cheese side was bland and came in small styrofoam cup that couldn't have been more than 1/2 cups worth. That, along with 2 slices of dried out brisket on a 6" roll for $13.00?? Maybe being still what I consider a new NH transplant I still don't understand the pricing model down here but back in NH, the same sized portion of food would have been $7 tops. I would like to point out that the girl behind the counter whom also brought the food to our table was sweet, professional and helpful.

10.99 + 2.00 for something I don't know what, comes to $12.99 for a brisket platter, two sides and cornbread. Maybe the new girl rang me up wrong or maybe since I'm virgin to this place I didn't know any better. Maybe I was too embarrassed to ask, nah I definitely was. Plus the girl kinda looked like a Northern Florida version of J-Law. Whatever the case is I'm curious about that freaking $2.00 charge when on the menu it says $10.99 for the meal. Oh well. I'll work up the nerve next time to ask. The food is on point. I love me some Nawlins food. I am James muthaf*ckin' Carville when it comes to my Louisiana cooking and I'm not talking about Popeyes you filthy pig you. Like Brian R said, the brisket is melt in your mouth kinda stuff. The amount they give you is smaller than your fits so the real men on Yelp who enjoy hearty lunches that won't leave you hungry looking for a granola bar by 4PM, might want to opt for the 2-meat platter or a sandwich because we know bread fills you up. As I was saying the brisket is off the chain. Definitely the best I've had within this area without traveling south of Pompano. My meal came with two sides so I opted for the mac & cheese because when is that not a good option? It was ok. Nothing to write home about, but the sweet potatoes were on some Tipatina shit. The cornbread they give you is decent, but like Bobby D in Casino I want to start seeing equal amounts of corn in each muffin. It was a little too airy for me. All in all, this place is on point and I can see it causing some problems for Miss Sweets and PA BBQ, especially with all the slightly overweight corporate geeks who hang out in bunches and eat mad lunches.

I wasn't expecting much from a fast food place but the food here is terrible. The brisket tastes like feet and the bread is bad. Side of corn looked like battery acid.

We ordered the Voodoo Meat Platter! Moist fling off the bone !! Finger lickin good !!

Real bbq - hard to find in SoFla. Tasty and unique sides, friendly staff. Red beans and greens are true n'awlins style. Now a regular lunch stop.

    (4)
  • Zev T.

Chicken was pretty good. This place very overpriced. Quarter dark chicken with 2 small sides and a drink almost $16. Try La Granja (several locations in south Florida) for a better value. Literally twice the portions for half the price not to mention the food is better.

    (3)
  • John P.

Good not great BBQ, I had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and it was OK. The sandwich was somewhat dry which is odd for pulled pork. The mac and cheese was generic. It's OK for the occasional lunch but not a destination BBQ joint.

What a looser! Brisket so tough and old that it had to be resuscitated by mounds and gobs of tasteless pseudo-bbq sauce....yeeech! Bread stale and also tasteless. Fries were OK though...but, who goes to BBQ to get fries?!

I wish I could say one bad thing about this company. Food is great, hot, delicious and everything you can expect from a quality restaurant. They also do catering and impressed the socks off of me and my employees. They will always get my business even if I am not in the area. Thank you for always being consistent and above average!!!

Love this place!! The staff is excellent and always smiling and the food is consistently good....it's become our favorite lunch spot!

  • Mindy L.

So over priced for the little amount of food they serve! The quality was poor too. The meat tasted so dry and over cooked that they had to drench it in BBQ sauce to make it seem moist and tender but it was not! I must have eaten 3 bites before tossing it. This was my first and last time eating here. What a waste of money!

I was very happy with this Cajun restaurant. The barbecued shrimp were great as well as the rice and red beans and jambalaya. Another couple at the next table loved the ribs. I can,t wait to return to try other Louisiana classics.

This place is great! Awesome food and quick, friendly service. I had corn pudding and brisket sandwhich. Highly recommended!

The first time we ordered from here, we ordered two bur-gahs and they were fantastic. The second time I ordered the jumbalaya which was Zatarains with some sausage and scallions added to it. My wife and I have made alot of zatarains out of the box so you cant fool anyone there. The third time I ordered a pork sandwich and a carnival sandwich. The pork sandwich i ordered with coleslaw and onions on it was good and had plenty of flavor. The carnival sandwich came plain with meat and bread and was as plain as you can get with a small portion of meat and a big hogie roll. This last time I ordered a platter with two meats and two sides with an iced tea. The portions were very small and cold, except for the red beans and rice. I am writing this for the restaurant to use as advice to where they can improve. The restaurant is nice and clean and the staff is great. Just take some more pride in your food and the presentation.
